Our
History
Founded
in 2001, our name comes from popular Washington,
DC folklore. As many know, there is no actual "J Street"
in DC, and there has been much speculation about the reason
why. History reveals a logical, uncomplicated answer,
and this reflects our objective — to provide uncomplicated
answers to the most demanding challenges in marketing and
business strategy.
We launched J Street Consulting during challenging
times — just weeks after September 11, 2001 and not
long after the burst of the Internet bubble. It was a new
environment for business, marked by caution, shifts in perspective
and a change in strategy for business leaders. Everything
came under scrutiny — from marketing budgets to staffing
to basic business objectives. That environment continues today,
as companies seek new ways to manage for growth, cut costs
and increase profits. For these challenges J Street offers
expert leadership and strong direction.
Since that time, J Street has grown from a two-person
SWAT team into a full service firm with an exceptional roster
of consultants. Still, we’ve retained our nimble, aggressive
approach and primary mission: to become trusted advisors and
a valuable resource for our clients.
